FEDORA Ambassadors Series

We had the pleasure of speaking with Yannick Willemin, who, together with Cecilia Erös, proudly co-funds the FEDORA Audience Award in collaboration with the Creative Europe programme of the European Commission.

Yannick shared their motivation for supporting this award, highlighting its powerful role in amplifying emerging talent and actively engaging audiences, especially younger generations, in shaping the future of the performing arts.

The FEDORA Audience Award, selected through a public vote among the 12 FEDORA Prizes Biennale 2025 Nominees, is more than just a recognition. It is a catalyst for change. “It’s about reinforcing the ecosystem,” Yannick noted, emphasizing how the award empowers the public to play a meaningful role in the evolution of the cultural landscape.

He also spoke about how his and Cecilia’s early personal encounters with the arts deeply inspired their commitment to supporting emerging creators. Through their continued involvement, and with the backing of the European Commission, Yannick and Cecilia are helping ensure that promising artists not only gain visibility but also receive the support they need to build sustainable, impactful careers in the performing arts.

"The FEDORA Audience Award reinforces the network and ecosystem effect, giving visibility and credibility to young, talented artists. What’s truly inspiring is how it brings together support on multiple levels, starting with the audience choosing what they love most."
